Fees Per Session

All fees are charged in accordance with rates recommended by the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (BHF). Sessions are 51–60 minutes in duration. NHRPL billing code: 81308.

Medical Aid Clients

R550.10 – R1,039.30

per session (VAT inclusive)

  • Claims submitted electronically on your behalf
  • Rates differ between schemes and are amended annually
  • Client's responsibility to confirm benefits before therapy
  • Medical Aid does not cover missed appointments

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is available for qualifying uninsured or underinsured clients who cannot afford standard fees. This is a personalised discount tailored to the client's financial situation, allowing access to psychological services at a reduced cost.

On-Call Health Group firmly believes that no person should be denied psychological care solely on the basis of their socio-economic status or inability to pay.

After-Hours Services

After-hours services are charged at the same rate as normal-hour services. There is no additional surcharge for after-hours consultations.

Payment Methods

  • Cash — payable after each session
  • Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) — payable after each session
  • Medical Aid — claims submitted electronically on your behalf
  • International Health Insurance — clients outside South Africa may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement
No Hidden Costs — On-Call Health Group strictly applies a transparent, no hidden costs principle for all clients.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled no later than 24 hours in advance
  • Late cancellations, missed appointments, or no-shows may be charged in full
  • In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008
  • Medical Aid will not reimburse missed or late-cancelled appointments

Appointment reminders are sent via SMS from the On-Call Health Group office ahead of each scheduled appointment.

Legal Contract

A legal contract will be signed prior to the first session to ensure confidentiality and commitment to payment regulations.
